Jumpstart’s Read for the Record Day

On October 8, 2009, Osborne invited parents, teachers, and community volunteers to read The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle to 193 Prekindergarten and Kindergarten students. This initiative recognizes the importance of modeling literacy and reading to young children. The official book was donated by the Pearson Foundation. Our campus was decorated with events and characters from the book which allowed our students to learn the importance of early childhood literacy skills.
